Steps To Purchase a Brandable Domain Name
When you do business with the Domain Name Pros, you’re doing business with professional domaineers. We not only know the potential complexities of domain name sales; we also understand and acknowledge the various pitfalls domaineers, both buyers and seller find themselves trapped in. Here are some examples of common domain name transaction pitfalls:
- The fear of not having a domain name transferred to you after paying a buyer
- A seller fraudulently initiates a credit card charge back with their credit card company after successfully completing a transaction and acquiring a domain name
- Having the domain name sale take to long to transpire
- The Buyer uses PayPal, and after completing the transaction and obtaining the domain name, deceptively initiates a dispute against the Seller. They usually claim they didn’t receive the domain name, or it was the wrong name. In many cases because of terrible procedures on the seller’s behalf and a lack of legally enforceable safety measures, the sellers lose many of these disputes and their PayPal accounts are charged back. In essence, someone gets their valuable domain name for free.
These are just some of the issues faced by sellers, buyers, investors and end users of domain names. To provide all parties, (Both Buyer and Seller) with peace of mind, the Domain Name Pros have implemented numerous measures to secure the transaction at all points, safeguard your privacy and expedite your domain name acquisition. Here are the steps to purchasing a Brandable Domain name from the pros:
Step #1
Select Your Brandable Domain Name
- Decide which Brandable Domain Name from the Domain Name Pros that you desire to acquire
- Make a reasonable offer
- We may accept your initial offer or we may counter offer
- After the negotiating process and we come to a mutually agreeable acquisition price, you then move to the payment process
Step #2
Pay For Your Brandable Domain Name
We provide a number of methods available to pay for your Brandable domain name. After completing this step, we immediately move to the process of legally transferring domain name ownership to you.
Step #3
Transferring Domain Name Ownership
When the domain name transfer process involves two different competing registrars and a buyer and a seller, a lot of things are at stake and there is no room for error. Yet, the fact is, in this scenario, because there are a number of entities in the process, things can go wrong that can hold up or potentially halt the transaction altogether.
To eliminate these issues, the Domain Name Pros make this process a seamless transaction by requiring Buyer to have an account with Godaddy.com, our registrar of choice. Opening an account with Godaddy is free and only takes a few moments. Once you have Godaddy.com account, the Domain Name Pros can immediately push the domain to your account after we have agreed to price terms and funds have been confirmed.
Please note: once you take legal ownership of you Brandable domain name, you can transfer the domain name from Godaddy.com to your registrar of choice, AFTER THE 60-DAY WAITING PERIOD. Be advised, the 60-day waiting period rule is an ICANN rule and has absolutely nothing to do with the Domain Name Pros, Conscience Collaborations, LLC or Godaddy.com.
Transferring Ownership Via An Escrow Service
Most of our domain name purchases are handled through one of our escrow services. This keeps the process sweet and simple for everyone. See Escrow Services.
Transferring Ownership Via a PayPal Payment
If you choose to use PayPal to acquire your Brandable Domain Name through the Domain Name Pros, please note that we will require you to agree to and sign our fraud prevention policy and back charge agreement. This two agreements protects the Domain Name Pros from unscrupulous domain name buyers who intend on:
(a) Filing a dispute with PayPal after the domain name has been legally transferred to them
(b) Filing a notice of refund with their credit card company
Since these sellers have no signed agreement with the buyer protecting them from such fraudulent activity, they end up losing a valuable domain name, precious time and funds that were due them.
With our agreement, we are able to show irrefutable evidence to PayPal and any credit card that the transaction is legal and binding and not subject to back charge or credit card refund. We hate to take these steps, but unfortunately we have no choice in order to protect our interests and make every transaction secure for all parties involved.
